Covid-19 (Novel Coronavirus)
As the coronavirus continues to have a global impact, we are taking the necessary precautions to keep our employees, business partners and communities as safe as possible. We are actively monitoring the situation and following the guidance of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
We know that we must be prepared to conduct business in the face of any type of challenge. Our operations are still in full force to service America’s communication infrastructure. It is essential during a time like this to ensure hospitals, police officers, firefighters, and our government have the connectivity needed to do their jobs. We plan to continue to support our customers and look for ways to minimize work reduction while adhering to CDC and WHO guidelines.
The information below will help you understand our preparations and the capabilities we have developed to help in this period of uncertainty.
Our offices, remote teams, and remote capabilities
We have trained and encouraged our employees to work remotely regularly. Taking this approach has allowed us to address connectivity and communication challenges inherent to virtual operations. We do not expect any interruptions to our services due to our preparations and contingency plans. We have also taken steps to make sure that our service partners have the appropriate business continuity plans in place to ensure continued operations, just as we have.
Meetings, Travel and working onsite at your offices
Instead of face to face meetings, virtual meetings are advised to ensure continuity of business. All unnecessary travel has been suspended for personnel. If EWS team members are scheduled to be onsite to perform service impacting work, we will consult with clients about their local situation and if there are any guidelines we need to follow.
Health and safety
We have communicated health and safety procedures to all employees, and have advised those who are ill or who have family in their homes who are exhibiting any symptoms of respiratory illness not to report to our offices or any client site. If they feel well enough, they may work remotely. We will follow strict quarantine rules in alignment with CDC guidance for employees who might come in contact with someone who has been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19.
As of March 18, 2020, no visitors or guests are allowed in our facilities until further notice. We have established shipping/receiving protocols to limit individual contact amongst personnel at our warehousing locations. The frequency of our facilities being sanitized has increased to ensure the health & safety of those employees that might need to be at the workplace.
As circumstances continue to change, we are prepared to alter our procedures and planning. Our goal is and will continue to be, to provide a safe environment for all of our employees, business partners and the communities in which we live.
Thank you for your business and your partnership as we work together during this challenging period.
